What's happenin' in September on Sprout?

Photobucket
We love PBS Sprout. Noah and I watch Sprout all the time. We enjoy the programs that are on and we also watch Sprout On Demand. I wanted to share with you first of all how wonderful and educational all of the programming is. There are shows like Caillou, Sesame Street and Barney to name a few. I know that when Sprout is on that I have complete confidence that there will be mom and kid approved content. The shows are very entertaining and Noah has learned a lot from his Sprout friends.

Sprout has launched an exclusive contest on their Facebook page asks viewers to submit a photo of their best Wiggly face. The winners will be chosen by user votes. There will be weekly prizes of a Flip Video camera . The grand prize is a Nintendo Wii and a Wiggles autographed shirt! How cool is that? I can’t wait to check out all the Wiggly Faces!

Noah loves the Good Night Show. The Good Night Show is on every evening starting at 6 pm ET. It stars Nina and Star. They also have a friend named Lucy who is a firefly. Each show has a theme with episodes of Sprout shows that are based on the theme. Nina also does an evening stretch that Noah loves to do. They sing songs and do a craft as well. It is a great way to wind down after a busy day and it keeps Noah entertained while I make dinner.

There will be a new season of the Good Night Show starting September 21st . The new season of The Good Night Show will also feature a new show called the Rubbadubbers. In celebration of the all new fun shows Nina will be joining Chica in the Sunshine barn for a Pajama Party! Noah and I decided we were going to celebrate right along with them and have a pajama party as well. It will be a lot of fun.

All children should have comfortable pajamas to sleep in. Unfortunately not every child has them. The wonderful people at Sprout have realized this and have teamed up with The Pajama Program for the Great Sprout Tuck in. The Pajama Program is a charity that helps children get comfortable pajamas and books to read.

Noah loves to wear pajamas. He will ask me for some jammies to wear sometimes even in the daytime. He has a pair of fire truck pajamas that he loves and asks to wear often. My heart sinks every time he asks to wear them now because he has out grown them! Not to mention they are more Winter pajamas. I think that every child should have a favorite pair of pajamas. Not only to keep them warm at night but for the comfort.

One of Noah’s favorite things is to look at books and have me read to him and tell him stories. Children who are read to when they are younger tend to have a greater love of reading as they get older. Some children don’t even have any books to read or look at. You can help! Here’s the deal… You can purchase NEW pajamas and NEW books and send them to PBS Sprout and then they will help give them to children in need. They will also match every single donation. They request that the items be new. They need all sizes of pajamas and all sorts of children’s books.

They need your help. They have almost reached their goal of helping 75,000 kids with new books and pajamas. Wouldn’t it be great to help them surpass their goal? The Great Sprout Tuck in is trying to hit their goal of 75,000 by Oct. 1st. Please help these children have a Good Night.

If you don’t get Sprout call your cable company or 1-866-9-Sprout and say Sprout Please!

Country Bob's Review

Photobucket

Ever heard of Country Bob’s? It’s not a country song or a little general store. It is a brand of the most delicious All purpose sauce. I started enjoying Country Bob’s back in 2003 after I was introduced to it by someone I knew. He had been enjoying it much longer. It was an instant hit with me. I have never been too big on steak sauce but I love Country Bob’s all purpose sauce.Look for Country Bob's All purpose sauce at your local grocery stores! When I was pregnant I drank it straight from the bottle. True story.

Something else that I really like about Country Bob’s; it is a Christian based company. It is really refreshing that there is a company out there that is not only making great products but are serving the Lord while doing it. It is awesome to see a company with such great wholesome values.

Country Bob’s has other products besides the all purpose sauce. They also have seasoning salt, BBQ sauce, and for those brave folks a spicy all purpose sauce. There are all kinds of delicious recipes on their website. When I look through the recipes my mouth waters.

Country Bob’s was created by Country Bob Edison in 1968. After giving his sauce to friends and family for quite a few years he began to sell it in 1977. Country Bob’s Inc wasn’t actually a company until 1982. Where Bob and a few friends went in to business with equal ownership as it remains to this day. Those who try Country Bob’s all purpose sauce become live long users. Just ask me I have been using it for 6 years now. Country Bob’s has grown so much since it was created in 1968.

They have not forgotten the where they came from and the excellence of a quality product. If you were to ask them where the credit for Country Bob’s was due they would say the Lord. The Lord is their CEO and the whole success of the company is and always will be in the hands of the Lord.

I had the opportunity to try some of the Country Bob’s Seasoning Salt. I love seasoning salt. Some people think that all seasoning salts are the same. In my opinion they are not. I can tell the difference between good quality seasoning salt and not so great ones. Country Bob’s Seasoning Salt is so delicious. It comes in a big bottle so you will get a lot for your money and you can indulge in whatever amount suits your taste. It is full of flavor. It provides just the right blend of seasonings together for a taste that the whole family will enjoy. It’s a quick, easy way to change food from ordinary to special.

Thank you to Country Bob’s for the opportunity to sample some Country Bob’s seasoning salt.

WAT-AAH Review and Giveaway

Photobucket
I had the opportunity to try all four types of Wat-aah. What is Wat-aah? It is water that has an extra boost to it. What is the boost? It’s NOT sugar, it’s not flavoring, and it’s not color. It is NURTIENTS! If your child is anything like mine, he loves sugar. It is all about cookies, candy and cupcakes for him. Of course he doesn’t get those things very often but it doesn’t stop him from asking for them. Thankfully he is too young for soda so I don’t have to fight that battle yet. In all reality Noah eats pretty healthy. I keep his junk food to a minimum and I try and give him stuff that he likes that is healthy.

So I bet you are wondering what kinds of nutrients are in Wat-aah. There are four varieties. All four varieties are made with Ultra pure water and none of them contain any sugar!

• Brain which contains electrolytes that helps with keeping your child extra hydrated

• Bones which contains magnesium for strong healthy bones

• Body which is just ultra pure spring water

• Energy which contains oxygen for extra energy

Wat-ahh was created when a group of women got together that were all wondering. Why won’t kids drink more water? They decided that it needed an extreme makeover water edition. So they thought we should change its name. They decided Wat-aah sounded like a great name. To me it sounds like Tarzan yelling. Tarzan is still cool right? Then they thought the bottle needed a new look something hip and exciting. They decided on neon letters and a goofy little face for the new label. They all decided that it needed something extra. Something to make it different and extra healthy. Being the clever women they are they decided to add extra nutrients. They used their kids as their own research and development team and Volia! Wat-aah was born.

I received a package of all four Wat-aah types. We also got assortment of stickers and tattoos. Noah has recently gotten in to temporary tattoos and he has always loved stickers. The Wat-aah was really refreshing and tasted great. Noah loves it. He kept asking for more Wat-aah. It felt good knowing I was giving him something healthy and fun to drink.

Thank you Wat-aah for the chance to try all four varieties.
