Wanchai Ferry Review and Giveaway!
I love Chinese food. It has been really hard to find good quality frozen Chinese food. I had the opportunity to try Wanchai Ferry Orange Chicken. It is a frozen stir fry meal for two. It was really easy to make. It would be perfect for a night that you want something delicious but don’t feel like making something complicated and time consuming. It only takes 14 minutes to cook! I thought the Orange Chicken was restaurant quality. It didn’t have that frozen taste that a lot of frozen foods have. It would be perfect for a dinner party as well. This meal would totally pass for a “home cooked meal that you slaved for hours making” meal.
The chicken it’s self was so tasty. The sauce is the perfect contrast of sweet and hot. The vegetables were crisp and fresh. I really liked the baby corn and the broccoli. The jasmine rice was tender. It is a very appealing dish and has beautiful colors.
When you eat something you use more than one of your senses. First you smell the food. My mouth was watering while it was cooking because it smelled so good. Next you see the food. Most people would agree that a meal presentation has a lot to do with the attitude people have when they go to eat it. This is especially true with children. I remember when I was little my dad made this noodle dish that looked absolutely disgusting so I refused to eat it. Now I am not saying that if it doesn’t look good it doesn’t taste good but it is one of the things that people naturally look for.
The taste is definitely the most important thing of course. I loved the Orange Chicken. It was the best frozen Chinese food I have ever tasted. There are other varieties of Wanchai Ferry meals to try. They cost around $8.00 that is so much cheaper than getting dinner for two from a Chinese restaurant.
It was so good that I had a hard time believing that it was a frozen meal. If I wouldn’t of made it myself, I would have been checking the trash for the Chinese take-out containers.
