Balance Bar helps me curb my cravings for sweets Plus Giveaway

This is a sponsored post. All thoughts and opinions are my own.  I am also a

part of the Mom It Forward Blogger Network.

I am constantly snacking because I work from home. My snack choices aren't always the best. I have always had a big sweet tooth. I grew up loving candy and desserts. I used to have sleep overs with a friend and we always bought lots of candy and sometimes cakes. While, I still enjoy sweet stuff, I have cut down quite a bit. I don't eat nearly as much treats because as a mom, I don't want to teach my son bad eating habits. I do allow one dessert a day because that's in moderation.

Since I do snack so much, I needed to find something that tastes great but is a better alternative than cookies and candy. I had the opportunity to try out a product called Balance Bar.

I had never tried them before and the flavors I received sounded delicious. I was really excited because they contain 8 grams of protein, which is great. I first tried the Mint Chocolate Cookie Crunch Balance Bar and it tasted like Thin Mint Girl Scout Cookies. I love Girl Scout Cookies so I was super excited about eating these. Noah asked me what I was eating. I replied  a Balance Bar. He asked if he could have a bite, I said ok. Now in case you don't know this about Noah, he is a picky eater. I was surprised he wanted to try it because getting him to try anything is really hard. Noah fell in love and ended up eating the rest of the box. I was fine with it though. He thought it was a treat and even had them for dessert.

We also received Dark Chocolate Turtle Balance Bars. It was also really good. It reminded me of when I was a child eating Turtle chocolates during the holidays. If you don't know what a turtle is, it's pecans, caramel coated in chocolate.  They call it a turtle because of the shape.  Of course my own little Balance Bar Monster enjoyed most of those too. The last flavor I received was Dulce Del Leche & Caramel. I thought Noah wouldn't like this one and I thought finally I would get to enjoy more than one of each flavor. I was wrong. He thinks it's awesome and it's his favorite flavor so far. He wants to try different flavors he has seen at the store too. I honestly don't mind that he ate almost all of them because of the protein. He's a vegetarian so protein can be challenging for him.

You can find Balance Bars at most grocery stores. I found them in the Health and Beauty section so if they aren't with the other nutrition bars, check in the health and beauty section
