12 interesting car facts

I love learning new things. Noah is obsessed with cars right now. He loves expensive cars. I explain to him that expensive cars don’t really mean anything. It’s not how much money or the things people have, it’s their heart that matters. I know he knows that. He’s always talking about different car facts and pointing out expensive cars. He told me that he should write car posts for me. He said, “I know so much about cars.” He also swears he can drive. His thinking is he says he knows how cars work and how to drive. I kindly remind him that knowing something and doing something are very different. I love listening to him tell me facts and trivia about all kinds of things.

Here’s 12 interesting car facts:

95% of a car’s life is parked

The number one car stolen is a Honda Accord.

The word car comes from the Latin word Carrus that means two wheeled wagon

It’s a crime to drive a dirty car in Russia

Three point seatbelts save a life every six seconds.

One quarter of the world’s cars are in the United States.

In 1941, Henry Ford made a car that weighed 2,000 pounds out of soybeans.

About 80% of a car is recyclable.

95% of cars in America are automatic transmission.

Leonardo da Vinci invented the first car on paper in 1478.

16% of all car owners never wash their car.
