How you are ruining your car

Buying a car is usually a big purchase. You spend quite a bit of money on them. You want to protect your investment and keep your family safe. There are certain things that you can ruin your car and the value.

Not getting your oil changed regularly. Those stickers on the windshield are not a suggestion. You really need to get your oil changed. You also need to get all your other fluids checked.  I know it’s a pain to go and sit there and wait but there’s a reason for it.

Smoking in your car. If you smoke, please don’t do it in your car. The smell will seep in to your upholstery. Your windows will be coated in a yellow film and you may burn holes in your seats. It makes it really hard to sell or trade in when the time comes.

Ignoring the check engine light. I know it sometimes comes on and you get busy and you ignore it. At least get it checked out so if there is a problem you can deal with it.

Not taking car your car for service regularly. Again it’s a pain but just like you, your car needs check ups.

Having a dirty car is not good. When your car is dirty on the outside it can make it rust or eat away the paint. If it’s dirty on the inside if could get bugs or rodents. It’s also dangerous because things could go flying when you turn.

Make sure you take care of your tires. Not doing so can impact your safety. Tires need to have good tread so they can grip the road.
