Making money with your old car

It seems like everyone is a driver for some company. I know a few people who drive for a couple companies. It’s a quick way to make extra money and meet new people. It can be fun and practical. When we were in Florida, we took a car to my favorite Italian place because they closed before my mom got off work. The woman who drove us was really nice. She told me that she works close to where my mom lives and she drives for a ride share company to make money on her way home. She likes to explore new areas. I really thought that was smart. There’s also food delivery companies and jobs where you bring people groceries. If you do this a lot it can really add a lot of miles on your car. You could also end up with passengers who make messes or even worse get sick.

I think a smart idea would be to buy a used car so you aren’t putting all the miles on your main car. If you are leasing your car, it can end up costing you more because they sometimes give you a cap on how many miles you can use. If you don’t want to purchase a used car another idea is instead of trading in your car or selling it to a private party, keep it and use it for your work car. That’s a great idea if you just want an upgrade or if you need more space. It’s common for families to buy a new car when they are expecting. There’s only so many car seats that will fit in certain cars.

If you need some extra cash and have the time consider driving. It can help you make money to pay off a bill or build up a rainy day fund. You have the freedom to do it whenever you want. If you meet your goal, you can just turn it off. I knew someone who drove people around because he was trying to get a deposit on his new apartment.  You also get tips and from what I understand, paid quickly.

If you have a teen, you can always save the car for them when they are old enough to drive and use it to make your car payment.
