Digital car keys

We have become such a digital society. We don’t even have to carry our credit cards anymore. They can just scan a bar code on our phones and we can pay that way. You can forget your wallet. You always have your phone though. We have apps for everything. If you can think it, there’s probably an app for it. 

We don’t even have to write anything down, we can talk to our devices and they write it for us. I tell my device what to put on my grocery list. When I am at the store, it shows up on my phone. Our kids take their state tests on iPads and computers. They don’t even need number two pencils anymore. 

I wasn’t surprised when I heard that we will eventually have digital keys to drive our cars. No more looking for your keys as long as you have your phone, you can drive. We even have an app for our lost keys. You push a button on your phone and your key fob sings so you can find it. You will be able to unlock the car with the digital key. 

You will be able to start the car right from your smart phone. I think that’s pretty genius. That would be great if you live in a cold climate. You could just pop outside and start your car without having to walk to your car and unlock it. I spend quite a bit of time looking for keys. It would be nice to not have to worry about it. I have one of those key things that I can push on my phone to help me find my keys. The only problem is that it’s not on my keys. 

You would also receive an actual key for when your phone dies or to give to a valet. That way you won’t be stranded with no way to get home. I am not too sure about all the digital advances we have these days. It makes it so easy but then again is it making it too easy?
