Cool Car Hacks

I love hacks that make life so much easier. I still look at some of them and think woah, why didn’t I think of that? Some of them are so obvious. I thought I would share some more fun car hacks with you.

Use a mason jar with wax melts in it for a car air freshener. Make sure you carefully poke holes in the lid.

Use a cereal container lined with a plastic grocery bag as a trash can. This way you won’t have to worry about your trash spilling out when you turn or go around a roundabout. As someone who lives in a county filled with roundabouts, I highly appreciate this one.

Clean your windshield wipers with a washcloth soaked in window cleaner to  keep the blades cleaner for longer.

I recently just learned that you can buy seat warmers for your car. If you don’t have them built in, you can buy them separately. A great way to have toasty buns on a cold morning.

Make your own car mats with cheap carpet from the bargain bin. This way you can protect your interior and when the car mats get too dirty, you can throw them out.

Use pipe insulation in the areas between the seats so you stop losing things between your car seats. Do you even know how hard it is to retrieve anything from there? That would also eliminate those French fries that always seem to fall.

Purchase a windshield cover to save time from scraping in the morning. Parking in the garage is not always an option for everyone.

Use silicone cupcake holders in your cup holders to organize better or to keep spills contained.

Use a small plastic tote and insert a muffin try inside it for an instant cup holder for multiple drinks.

Buy kitty litter for retraction when it’s slippery. You can also use a sock full of litter to prevent the windshield from fogging up.
