GourmetGiftBaskets.com Easter Review

If you are looking for something different for your Easter celebration, you should consider an Easter Bunny Basket 12 inch Cookie Cake from GourmetGiftBaskets.com I know a lot of people like to eat pie, but really how much pie can you eat? You have pie for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Let’s make Easter different. I am not really big on most pies, I really only like a few of them. I love cookies and frosting so this is a perfect Easter treat for my family. It’s also only $34.99. Noah doesn’t really like pie either except for pecan pie and peanut butter pie. He would eat cookies every day of the week though.  The Easter Bunny Basket 12 inch Cookie Cake is not only adorable but it is very tasty. There are many chocolate chips in it. The frosting is delish! Noah loved it too. We enjoyed sitting together and eating it. I had to tell him not to get in to it in the middle of the night, just in case. I didn’t want him getting any ideas for a midnight feast! GourmetGiftBaskets.com has many wonderful items that would make great gifts or just a little something special for yourself. Gift baskets aren’t just for gifts, they are fun for anyone. They have tons of cute Easter items that would brighten anyone’s day! Grandparents have started sending Easter Baskets and treats to their grandchildren. I wish my grandparents did that. I know my grandpa Bill was always good for jellybeans and M&M’s though.

I also received the Hippity-Hoppity Easter Stack ($29.99) to enjoy. It was also adorable. Here’s what was inside:

Jelly Beans by Buttercup Candy Shoppe - 3.5 oz. - Plump, gourmet jelly beans that explode with refreshing fruit flavors.

Peeps by Just Born - Assorted - A classic springtime treat of smooth, gooey marshmallows that are molded into festive shapes and coated with a bright, sweet confection.

Sea Salt & Cracked Pepper Popcorn by KingOfPOP.com - 1.4 oz. - Crisp and crunchy handcrafted popcorn that's speckled with freshly cracked pepper and gourmet sea salt.

Confetti Popcorn by KingOfPOP.com - 3.11 oz. - Handcrafted gourmet popcorn that's drenched in thin candy shells.

Double Crisp Chocolate Bunny - 4.25 oz. - A solid milk chocolate bunny that's flecked with pieces of rice crisp.

Original Skittles by Wrigley - 2.17 oz. - Bite-sized chewy candies that burst with irresistibly sweet fruit flavors.

Noah has this weird thing about Peeps He likes to eat them, but he thinks they are so cute, he refuses to eat them. He won’t let others eat them either. He is a silly goose. I really liked the Sea Salt & Cracked Pepper Popcorn. It was salty and peppery yet sweet at the same time. Who doesn’t love jelly beans and Skittles. It’s not Easter without a chocolate bunny!

Celebrate Easter with FairyTale Brownies

Easter is coming! I love Easter or what Noah used to call Eepster.  It’s such a fun holiday for kids. It’s also about Jesus too. Noah loves looking for his Easter basket and seeing what the Easter Bunny has left for him. Now that he is older, it’s harder to figure out what to put in it. It was so easy when he was a baby and toddler, I could just find some cheap toys and books. I didn’t put candy in it until he was older. Now, what the Easter Bunny puts in can be kind of a big deal. He is definitely grateful but he’s at the age where certain things are “babyish” or a lot of his toys are bigger like LEGO sets. I don’t really like to do a basket full of candy as some Easter Bunnies do.  I love candy and tend to always have different types at home so Noah doesn’t get as much candy in his basket than other kids. I had the opportunity to work with FairyTale Brownies to share with you about their new Easter themed Chocolate Chip Brownies.

They are amazing as I knew they would be. Fairytale Brownies are something I secretly crave. Noah loves brownies too, they are a great replacement for candy in your child’s Easter basket.  We even shared a brownie with Noah’s teacher. They have a really cute Easter label, so I wasn’t sure what she would think since it was right after Valentine’s Day. There are many other things you can do with these delicious Chocolate Chip Brownies besides putting them in your children’s Easter Baskets. You could share them with a neighbor or a co-worker. They will definitely bring a smile to their faces every time.  You get 12 brownies so there are plenty to share, for even a sweet tooth like me. You can freeze them too. You can just thaw them on the counter before being taken to a chocolate chip utopia!

Easter 12 Bulk Chocolate Chip Brownies are $41.95 and worth every penny! This Easter celebrate with FairyTale Brownies.

Thank you to FairyTale Brownies for providing me with a complimentary sample. My thoughts and opinions are my own.

I Hopped Down the Hershey's Bunny Trail

Noah's first Easter!

I can’t believe Easter is next week! Where has all the time gone? It seems like just yesterday I was putting up my Christmas Tree.  I love Easter, it is one of my favorite holidays. It reminds me about what Christ did for me. I also love the festivities and traditions my family has. We always dye eggs, surprisingly I really like the smell of vinegar.  I started the tradition of doing an Easter Egg hunt with Noah. I have some really cute pictures and videos of egg hunts in the past. My favorite Easter tradition is hunting for Easter baskets. Sometimes the Easter Bunny leaves your basket out in the open, but at my house he hides them. It is fun to hunt for it. A few times I have found it in the dryer, the closet and even outside once. Noah loves going on the hunt. This year it might be a little tricky to hide. The Easter Bunny really has to put his thinking cap on, and find a great place.  I wonder what kinds of goodies and surprises are going to make it in Noah’s basket. Did I mention, he uses the basket that I used since I was like four? I think that is a pretty cool tradition too.  I am sure there will be some great treats.  The Easter bunny doesn’t do a ton of candy, but there is always some. There are so many great Easter candies to choose from, and I love candy.

I was contacted by Hershey’s to hop down the Bunny Trail. The Bunny Trail allows you to make a virtual Easter baskets, and share your Easter traditions and memories. I guess I am really lucky because they sent me my basket.  I was able to customize the basket; I picked green, my favorite color. Pink grass because it would look like Spring.  Then the most difficult part of the trip down the Bunny Trail, picking out the candy I wanted to try.  I love so many kinds only picking five was kind of tricky for me. I am very happy with my choices though.  First thing I pick was York Peppermint Patty Eggs. I really like peppermint and I know that it’s one of Noah’s favorite candies.  Any candy shaped in an egg is very festive in my opinion. The next thing I picked was Jolly Ranchers Wildberry Jelly Beans, because you have to have Jelly beans for Easter.  I really like that they have flavors like Strawberry Watermelon and Blue Raspberry. My mom who doesn’t really like a lot of candy, really liked the jelly beans too.

Since I love Jolly Ranchers, I also picked the Jolly Ranchers Sours. I already know how good these are. I just really like them. They aren’t too sour and have the classic Jolly Rancher flavor.  I always eat all the Watermelons first, then the Cherry, then Apple, and then Orange.  The folks at Hershey’s must have known because there were a lot of Watermelon ones in there.  Next I picked the Snack Sized Twizzlers. Twizzlers are so yummy. I like these because I can give a pack to Noah and it is just enough candy for him. He literally chased me all over until I opened my Easter Basket. I asked my friends on Facebook if I had to share with anyone and everyone said no. I decided to share though. It’s no fun having such a fun basket of treats and being stingy.  I also know that Noah would have chased me around again.  The last thing I picked I am not sharing.  I got a giant Resse’s Peanut Butter Egg. I have never seen one this big.  Noah asked me for a slice of it.  I said nope.  I love Reese’s peanut butter eggs, and this one is huge.  I did make sure the Easter Bunny saves him a normal sized one for his basket. I am so excited and happy with the special trip I went on down the Hershey’s Bunny Trail.

I hope you will try out some of these special Hershey’s Easter treats.
