Sheila's Strawberry Cake Recipe
One of my favorite fruits, probably my favorite fruit is strawberries. When they aren't in season they can be really expensive or not very sweet. I am also a really busy mom and I don't always have time to devote in the kitchen to make a dessert. I had to come up with something easy and delicious. Something my super picky kiddo would also enjoy. He gets sick of the same old desserts. So I thought about things we used to make growing up and I remembered what I called Strawberry Cake. Now you can put strawberries on shortcakes, which I am not really a fan of. You can put strawberries on Angel Food Cake, while I love Angel Food Cake, I think it is perfect as is. I wanted to share with you my two ingredient Strawberry Cake Recipe.
Sheila's Strawberry Cake Recipe:
1 pound cake or slices of pound cake. I think it's brilliant they sell it sliced. Coming from someone who never would finish a loaf.
1 container of frozen strawberries in the juice.
Defrost both the strawberries and the pound cake. Cut a slice or two of pound cake and top with a few spoonfuls of strawberries. Don't forget the extra juice.
You can top with whipped cream if you would like and enjoy.

Strawberry Daiquiri Recipe
I live in Florida and
we are in the middle of Strawberry season. It is my favorite fruit so of
course I am excited that I can get amazing strawberries from Plant City
Florida in the winter. Being from Indiana instead of being able to buy a
quart of strawberries for $1.99 they would be closer to five dollars.
Since
I do like strawberries so much, naturally I would love to drink
strawberry daiquiris. When I was making my strawberry fruit leather I
decided I would share a great daiquiri recipe. I know you can buy the
mix, it's not that great and it's expensive and made with who knows
what.
Strawberry Daiquiris
1 quart strawberries
1 cup rum
Ice
Place
strawberries in the blender an purée. Add rum and ice and turn it on.
Grab a strawberry to garnish and a little umbrella and a beach and
enjoy!

Sheila's Fruit Pizza Recipe
I thought I would share my favorite non cupcake dessert with you all. It is called Fruit Pizza. No, you don't use cheese or sauce. It is delicious. There are many recipes out there for Fruit pizza but I think mine is the best, because it calls for POWDERED SUGAR instead of granulated sugar.
This would be a great Valentine treat for your loved ones!
You will need:
1 package of Pilsbury sugar cookie dough
1 8 ounce package of cream cheese softened!
1 pound of strawberries (maybe less if you have big ones)
1 tsp of vanilla
1 and 1/2 cups of Powdered sugar I eye balled it Just until it tastes good you don't want it to be too sugary but not to cream cheesy.
Pre-heat the oven to 375 F
Take the cookie dough and cut it in to pieces in a pizza pan and smoosh them all together until it covers the pan. Then bake for 12 minutes or until golden brown.
Let cool completely this is important
Then combine the cream cheese the vanilla and powdered sugar and mix (mixer works the best) until creamy
Then spread the icing on the cookie crust
Take the strawberries and remove the green top and slice the strawberries in to slices and cover the pizza with the strawberries
You can also use other fruits like kiwis or whatever you like. I use only strawberries.
REFRIGERATE and ENJOY!
