Shopping Online to Save Money

There are a few stores I love to shop at. I don’t always have time to go to the mall, and shop. I rely heavily on shopping online. It is more convenient when you are a mom.  Two of the stores I love to shop at are Bath and Bodyworks and Victoria’s Secret.  Noah has classified these as girl stores and doesn’t like to go in either. I normally don’t take him in to Victoria’s Secret because it is an underwear store.  I do like for him to go to Bath and Bodyworks with me.  I like his opinion when I am purchasing hand soap because he uses it too.  I love to use coupons and coupon codes when I shop online. Every penny counts in my opinion.

Bath and Bodyworks has semi-annual sales, which are great. They usually bring back some of the scents that are retired. When you are like me and most of your favorite scents are older it can be harder to find in stores, except during their semi-annual sales. Even then, you run in to not being able to find the scents you love. My most favorite scent is Pearberry, I wasn’t able to find it in stores this time. I know they have it online because I went back and forth trying to decide if I wanted to go to the store or order online.  I ended up getting Juniper Breeze, which I also really like. If I would have purchased online I would have been able to get both.

It’s really important to use coupon codes to save money. Even if it is a small savings it adds up. It’s funny because when I know my family or friends are shopping online, I always encourage them to use coupon codes.  It is worth the minute or two that it takes you to search for them.  When my mom and I would go grocery shopping when they had amazing coupon sales we used to pretend what we saved was what we earned on the trip, so if you think of online shopping the same way, it will be more of an incentive to take the time and use one. Some places like Victoria’s Secret you can stack coupons too, for extra savings or even a free gift.

Save This Holiday Season with CouponChief

We are approaching the holiday season. I know I like to do a lot of my shopping online. I am a single mom so, when I go shopping my son is always with me. When he was a baby, I could easily buy his presents with him with me and he wouldn’t even notice. I was able to get away with that until he was two. Even trying to hide the presents in the cart under things doesn’t seem to work well either.  I have had to start buying presents for him online.  Sometimes you can find some great deals and toys you can’t find in stores.  I always scout out for coupon codes from different websites like CouponChief to save extra money or sometimes get free items.  I could sign up for every stores newsletter but, I get so much email as is with all the newsletters I have already signed up with. I also like to try shopping at new stores since Noah’s major interests right now include space and sea life.  Both of those are hard to find at just any store.  I also have to support my VS habit, which I couldn’t do without coupon codes.

Shopping With Promo Codes

I do a lot of online shopping. I am a person who loves to shop in her pajamas and have the things I want to buy come to my door. I also love getting a great deal on things. I will look around on a website, and if I find something I want to purchase, I go on a hunt for a coupon code. Promotional codes are great for saving money or getting extra free items with your order. I really like the ones that give me free shipping. Shipping can be very expensive. I can normally find a coupon code for any store, and will sometimes wait to buy something until I have one, depending on what I am looking for.

I am sure you are wondering where to find coupon codes. My sister actually asked me one day recently to work my magic and find her a coupon code for a store she wanted to purchase from. Within a few minutes I sent her 3 different codes to choose from. Recently I came across a site called PromotionCode.Org. I love how they tell you how often it works. You can even submit a coupon code as well. They have coupon codes for Victoria’s Secret, which you all know how much I love that store, Pfaltzgraff, Philosophy and Target, just to name a few. There are coupon codes for everyone. If you can’t find what you are looking for or you want to stay up to date with a certain store’s coupon codes you can have them email you when they add new coupon codes. I am so excited to have a new place to look to save me money. You should check out PromotionCode.Org and sign up for your favorite stores so you can save too.

Do you like to shop online? Do you like to use coupon codes?

Coupon Confessions

You all know how much I love coupons right? I have a confession; I used to clip coupons that weren’t worth clipping. I was on a coupon train for a while and I would clip every single coupon even for things that I would think others might need. Some of them were for unique items, that only a select few would use. I would also get really excited about triple coupons and dollar doubles it was like my Christmas seriously. I would clip coupons for things I would never get unless it was free, then I would try and donate them if I could. For a while I had a huge collection of deodorants, ketchups BBQ sauce etc. Whatever I could get for free was like a gift to me. My cabinets and drawers became over run with free things I got from those sales. My mom and I used to joke about how many armpits we would need to use all the deodorant we had in our annex. You need to know when a coupon might not be worth clipping.

I try and use coupons whenever I shop if it is possible. I usually look for printables online if it is for a specific store. I also try and find coupon codes if I am shopping online. There are tons of printable coupons and coupon codes out there if you know where to look. I really like shopping at The Children’s Place for clothes for Noah and I am always looking for Children’s Place coupons. I like to get more bang for my buck. It is like a hunt for me. Do you like to shop with coupons? What are some deals that you have gotten that stick out in your memory?

Glowgirl Coupon Organizer Review and Giveaway

Photobucket
If you haven’t figured it out yet… I love coupons. I love to get a great deal. I used to get really excited when a grocery store did triple coupons and dollar doubles. I would spend like 2 hours in the grocery store seeking out those bargains. I would also spend time at home prepping for it. I know coupons sound like a lot of work but the savings are worth it. I think of it as my pay. If I save 20 dollars and it took me a hour to clip and organize I was paid twenty dollars. I think my record is saving $120 dollars in one trip and spending only $70. So, for $70 dollars I got 190 dollars worth of groceries. Pretty good huh?

One of my couponing annoyances are coupon organizers that fall apart. I think that it is a complete necessary to have a coupon holder for organization purposes. You don’t want to be the person with a puddle of coupons on the floor at the grocery store. I have seriously have had about 5 coupon organizers in my couponing days. They fall apart, they rip, the elastic band stretches, then falls off. You know what I am talking about I am sure.

Then they become a work of art with all the masking tape you use to hold it together complete with a hair band to keep it from spilling out everywhere. We have all been there. It doesn’t matter if it is one from the dollar store or one you paid 8 dollars for. The plastic ones crack and rip too. There must be something better, a coupon holder that won’t fall apart and will withstand my abuse. Noah’s too, I don’t know what is so intriguing about a coupon organizer to a young child. There has been many times he has gone and dumped it out everywhere.

I had the opportunity to review a homemade cloth coupon organizer from Glowgirl Fibers owns her own little Etsy store. She makes all kinds of wonderful items including coupon organizers, blah, blah blah. The coupon organizers come with little file cards and 70 different labels so you can set it up the way you like it. Before I had this wonderful coupon organizer I would put my cat food coupons in with the snacks and batteries. Both cat food and batteries are not my snack of choice but my space was limited.

Now I can break free of those few labels and broken coupon organizers. Glowgirl has many different designs because she gets her fabric all kinds of places not just the local fabric store. Sometimes she gets fabrics at estate sales. It makes it unique and special not to mention gorgeous! Your coupon organizer could have some unknown really neat history. Honestly I don’t know who decides what to put on those factory made paper coupon organizers but I have seen some not so attractive ones. The coupon organizers are extremely well made. I don’t think I will need a new one for a very long time.

I have another couponing annoyance. When you are shopping, you go and get out a coupon and then you are stuck holding the coupon organizer. You can’t possibly throw it in the cart. It will get buried like your purse is. So, you are looking for a place to put your coupons. Well, my new coupon organizer can be attached to the cart. How cool is that? No more awkward couponing moments. It also gives your cart a little decoration.

My coupon organizer is a pretty green with palm fronds on them. I love the beach and palm trees so this one was perfect for me. It is really pretty and really easy to use. I love it. One thing I will share with you is if you see a fabric you like order fast. She is really popular and her stuff flies off the virtual shelves. This is important if there is a certain fabric that you absolutely love. I am sure you will enjoy them as much as I do. It is definitely a great investment. The Coupon organizers are only $12.00 each.

Glowgirl also makes fabric grocery tote bags and reusable Sandwich bags. Both will help cut down on excess plastic usage. It's really cool if you ask me.

Thank you to GlowGirl for sending me the beautiful coupon organizer and providing one for the giveaway.

I have a coupon code for you all to help you save. You will get free shipping if you enter Sheilacakes in the comments and Glowgirl will refund the shipping charge right away!

I have one fabric coupon organizer in the print of the winners choice.

Kernel Seasonings Review!

Photobucket
I really love popcorn. The more butter the better. When I go to the movies its always extra extra butter. When you are at home and you don’t have access to your own butter topping pump, popcorn can get really boring really fast. So when I had the opportunity to try out Kernel Seasonings I was really excited. Kernel Seasonings is a wide variety of popcorn seasonings. It was started in a dorm room at The University of Michigan by a guy who was sick of plain buttered popcorn. Brian Taylor started mixing different seasonings together for his popcorn each night. Soon his fellow classmates were knocking on his door asking for his special spice blends. So, Brian contacted a flavor team with over fifty years experience to help perfect the seasonings. It took two years to tweak the flavors just right. Kernel Seasonings are perfect.
Kernel Seasonings comes in 16 flavors, they are Parmesan and Garlic, White Cheddar, Jalapeno, Salt and Vinegar, Apple Cinnamon, Nacho Cheddar, Chile Lime, Kettle Corn, Butter, Ranch, Sour Cream and Onion, Salt, Caramel, Cajun, Barbeque, and Chocolate Marshmallow. Now just because they are called Kernel Seasonings don’t think they are strictly for just popcorn.

You can use them on other things such as potatoes. Each bottle comes with suggestions of other uses. The Kernel Seasonings website has many recipes using their seasonings. Get this…if you come up with a recipe using Kernel Seasonings and they use it on the website they’ll send you a free full set of Kernel Seasonings! That is definitely something to remember when you are cooking in the kitchen.

Some of the seasonings are salt free too. My best friend’s husband can’t have much salt because of Congestive Heart Failure so I told her about the flavors that are Salt Free. They are Kettle Corn, Apple Cinnamon, and Caramel. You can learn more about the nutrition values and allergen information on the website.

Kernel Seasonings also sells Movie Theater Butter Popping and Topping Oil. You use it to either pop the uncooked kernels or as a delicious topping. A little goes a long way! Kernel Seasonings also sells Popcorn Spritzer that you spray on air popped popcorn to help the seasonings stick. Of course they also sell popcorn kernels and microwave popcorn too.

Something you will quickly learn about me is I love garlic. I also love Parmesan cheese. So it was no big surprise that my favorite flavor is the Parmesan Garlic. It is so delicious. The White Cheddar is great too. I really liked all the flavors I have tried so far. Kernel Seasonings adds a great kick to popcorn and other items with out being too over powering. It is the perfect blend of seasonings. I had my family try some of the flavors. My mom’s favorite is the White Cheddar. My sister and her boyfriend told me how they have wanted to try them as well. They had seen them at the movie theater. So they were both excited to try them. They both really liked them. It was a hit with my entire family. Even my son loved Kernel Seasonings!

Look for Kernel Seasonings at your local movie theater. Mine has them for complimentary use. That would be a great way to try different flavors. If your movie theater doesn’t carry Kernel Seasonings you can always request that they should. You can also purchase Kernel Seasonings on their website including the Movie Theater Butter Popping and Topping Oil and the Popcorn Spritzer and popcorn. I have seen the seasonings at Wal-mart and at Meijer. Blockbuster also carries Kernel Seasonings.

To find retailers near you please visit HERE for your nearest location. If there is not one near you, remember you can purchase them online on the Kernel Seasonings website.
Here is a coupon code for you guys! You can use coupon code Kernel235 to receive a FREE Popcorn Pouch and Popcorn Spritzer with any order you place!

Thank you so much to Kernel Seasonings for giving me the opportunity to try Kernel Seasonings!
