Simple and Stylish Sandals for Men

When it comes to sandals for men, The All Terrain Lite Strap Sandals by Ecco are available in a woodsy, dark brown. The shoes are imported and have a simple style. There have flexible black rubber soles. The shoes are light and are able to bend with the motion of the foot. The soles are thick with traction underneath.

The shoes' traction allow movement and flexibility while walking or running. The shoe has decorative slits on them that form a simple design. There is stitching detail on the straps in tan threading which contrasts with the brown and black of the rest of the shoe. The upper strap has additional decoration in the form of three tiny black circles.

The design does not overpower the shoe and the shoe is still woodsy brown with tiny accents. Typical of sandals for men, the leather strap comes with adjustable Velcro for closure. Unlike other sandals, both leather straps on the sandal are adjustable. The upper leather strap bears the red Ecco logo in small red stitching. There is a rubber sole and leather straps. Both materials are durable and water resistant. The footbed is cushioned and black. There is cushion in the heel strap.

E!'s New Show- Bridalplasty- America's New Self Esteem Killer!

I was watching E! tonight, Bruce Almighty was on. It is a great movie. I was watching the commercials and twice they showed an ad about a new show premiering tomorrow called Bridalplasty. The show is about a group of brides that leave their fiancee for four months and they compete and get plastic surgery and the winner gets a dream celebrity wedding. The winner has her new whatever she gets and shows her fiancee when he lifts up the veil. I am not sure if all the brides go under the knife or not. I am sorry but I think that is the dumbest most superficial show that I have ever heard of. I hope to get remarried some day. Who knows what the future might bring but I am telling you what, my future husband will love me for me. He will have to love all my flaws, because they are mine. I am not talking about my inner flaws I am talking about my outer appearance. My freckles, my imperfections that everyone has, after all, no one is perfect, say it with me now, no one is perfect. Everyone knows their flaws, they don’t need someone else pointing them out. I think that it gives people the wrong idea, the impressionable children, people that have self esteem issues. Actually, it is plain sick honestly.

I am ashamed to be in this society, where everyone obsesses over their appearance. Where kids are bullied because they look different, because they aren’t “perfect”, maybe they have a different body type. Some kids’ lives are made a living hell because of those things. It is crap TV like this that encourages bullies to pick on other kids because they are different. Those kids that are being bullied are someone’s daughter or son. There are quite a few adult bullies out there too. Some people call them grown up mean girls or mean boys. Their whole purpose in live is to make someone else feel like crap. It doesn’t end after you leave school. There are 30 and 40 year old women who make fun of people for no reason. They talk about them behind their backs and make them feel horrible. When someone says something hurtful it doesn’t matter if you are 8 years old or 48 years old. It still hurts. Sure, you deal with it in other ways, like ignoring it, but deep down it still hurts the same.

Last night I was watching Pauley Perrette’s YouTube videos, she was talking about bullying and how things get better, they really do. She said that she wore glasses and an eye patch in school and that she was picked on a lot. She said she was never mean to anyone. She is now an amazing actress on NCIS and instead of being spiteful; she is very humble about her life. She doesn’t pretend to put on this glamorous Hollywood lifestyle; she is just herself, very down to Earth.

I am a firm believer that everyone is beautiful. I always look for the good in people. I think to truly love someone is to be able to find them beautiful or handsome inside and out. To embrace their flaws and love them, we are all jigsaw puzzles some of our pieces are different than others but they make up who we are. We need to understand that what is to love is to love the whole person. Not the parts that we want, but each part the same. Learn to accept those flaws and erase them in our minds and hearts. You know, something could happen and someone’s beauty could disappear, but to people who love you, you will always be beautiful in their eyes and heart. God made each of us the way he wanted us to look. He made us all unique and put love and care in to molding us from lumps of clay in to the person we became. I would not want to say something God made was ugly. God does not make ugly things.

Lil Bit'z Clothing Review

Photobucket

I had the opportunity to receive some clothes for Noah from Bit’z Kids which is a really cute kid’s clothing boutique in New York City. Bit'z Kids sells Japanese children's clothes. As someone who has only been to NYC once a long time, ago I am happy to share with you that you can also order their clothes online, if you can’t make it to their store. If you live in the area you can sign up for emails and learn about the sales they have.

We received the SouthHampton Motors tee and the Sweat Lib Denim Shorts. Noah loves the shirt; it is probably his most favorite shirt at the moment. It is really cute. One the back of it, it says The Old Truck is My Friend, which describes Noah’s love for trucks. He really likes the shorts as well. They are comfortable for him. Those who know me know I am all about comfort. They are comfortable but they also look really cute on him.

Photobucket

The clothes are well made and are soft. Noah wore them all around Animal Kingdom when we were in Orlando. I was told by a few people that they really liked his clothes. When they asked me where I had got them I said Bit’z Kids! I explained that you can order them online. I wonder if they ordered anything. If you are looking for adorable, well made kids clothes please check out Bit’z Kids in store or online.

Thanks to Bit’z Kids for sending me the complimentary two items that I mentioned in my review for Noah to try out.

Kid's Pajamas

Noah loves to wear pajamas. He must of gotten that trait from me. I am a pajama girl. Noah has tons of really cute jammies. I usually buy him Carter’s because I love the way they look and feel. I was a Carter’s kid too. I really like Carter’s but I don’t think that the pajamas for older kids last as long as baby jammies. Noah has many pajamas with holes in them. The footed ones are the worst. I don’t like when his little toes are sticking out. Some of his other pajamas have completely fallen apart with him inside them. It isn’t always the Carter’s ones. It makes no sense.

Yes he is bigger and more active than he was when he was an infant or only a year or so but it’s not like he is super active in them. It’s not like he plays football in them. OK maybe pretend football but not to the point where it is rough. I always try and get sizes that are roomy for him. He is known to put stuff in his “pockets” aka his jammies. He also has pajamas that he has that are his favorites. Right now it’s his brown space ship pajamas and his fire truck jammies
(the second generation).

I am not sure what the deal is. I wish they would last longer. He must have his momma’s luck when it comes to pajamas falling apart because you all know I have the same problem. I wish pajamas came with a warranty that they wouldn’t fall apart until your child grew out of them but I don’t think that would ever happen. It’s kind of frustrating. Kid’s pajamas are not cheap unless you get them on sale or a clearance. I feel like I am constantly buying him pajamas. I don’t really mind because I want him to be comfortable. They just need to last as long as it takes for him to go to another size. I am aware that kids can stay in a size for quite a while. It is not like it is happening right away. I guess some of the pajamas are like the velveteen rabbit and the ones that are the most worn out are the most loved; which is true in our case.

What kinds of pajamas do you put your children in? Do you think it happens to you too or do I manage to pick the defective ones in the store every time?

Hosptial Gowns are not a fashion statement I wanna make.

On August 1, 2005 it was just like any other morning. My old best friend and I were driving down the road and we were taking her daughter to Grandma’s house so her son could go to the dentist. We turned in her parents’ neighborhood as we had done a million times before. We were turning in and all the sudden I started screaming. We had been hit. We were T-boned on my door. We spun around five times or so and then came really close to crashing in to a brick sign. Thankfully we stopped. The whole time we are spinning I was screaming. I was so scared. I thought I was going to die.

The man who was in the other car who was going really fast we think purposely hit the car, the brand new Acura TSX that she had bought a little over a month. I was stuck in the car. The kids were fine and so was my friend. They all got out really easily. I had to be pulled out of the car on a board wearing a neck brace by 4 firemen. I was conscious. Every person I talked to which was many I would say make sure they know I am allergic to latex. I rode in the ambulance and I didn’t know if my leg was broken or what was going on. I had some cuts where the window shattered and stuff. The car was completely totaled. RIP beautiful Acura.
Photobucket

In the ambulance they cut off my favorite pair of Silver Jeans. I loved those jeans so much. They had to take scissors and cut them down the sides all the way down. I got to the hospital and nothing was broken, surprisingly. I took all the impact on my door. I didn’t know where my friend and her kids were. They were going to take her to another hospital but I found her shortly after they said I could go home. My mom had her cell on during the day that day because my grandma was in the hospital so, I know it scared her when she got a call from the Fire Department from my number. I had no shoes because I took them off in the car. I had no pants because they were cut off.
Photobucket
I went home in a hospital gown and a t-shirt, barefoot. We had to stop to get my prescriptions for pain meds filled. I am glad that for some reason I was sitting differently that I used to. I wasn’t sitting Indian style, which is a good thing or I would of shattered my knee cap. I couldn’t really walk the first day. I had big bruises and I spent a lot of time lying in bed sleeping.

I still have really bad car anxiety too. It has gotten a lot better over the years though.

Just Jen Custom T-shirts

Photobucket
I would love to get a few shirts from Just Jen. I want one that says Sheilacakes, and another one that says Noah's Mommy and one for my sister that says bride for her wedding. I think it would be awesome for a family reunion to wear matching shirts with people's names on them especially if you are going somewhere where people can get lost. I think everyone needs a Custom Tee in their closet to wear.

They look so soft and comfortable too. There really is something for any woman or girl because they can be customized. No more having to search for what you want or not be able to get it because they don’t make a t-shirt with your name or nickname or whatever. Not everyone has a name like Sarah or Sally or Sue anymore. So, it can be hard to find something with your name. Look no further than Just Jen!

I have written this post as an entry into the Just Jen $100 GC Blogging Contest hosted on ABlogOfGoodies.com.

Another TJ Maxx Shopping Trip!

Photobucket

I am excited to share with you all, that I had the opportunity to take part in another TJ Maxx campaign like I did a couple months ago. You can read about my past shopping trip here.

I love TJ Maxx. I love the fact that the products are always changing. There is always something new and fun to buy there. I have said this before and I will say this again. TJ Maxx has a bad rep from some people. TJ Maxx isn’t less quality it is just over stock or discontinued merchandise. The only thing that could be considered “dysfunctional” about clothing at TJ Maxx is that they take a marker and draw a line on the tag. They do that so a customer can’t take it back to a high end store and try and be dishonest and return it. It doesn’t affect the quality or the brand. They do it protect the designer and the stores. I completely understood when I figured out why they did that.

I am so happy to have the chance to share my latest deals I picked up at TJ Maxx. Here is what I got all for under 50 dollars total. Noah loves puzzles; he can put his 12 piece puzzle together backwards without looking at the picture. So, I thought it was time to get him something a little more challenging. I got him a 24 piece Very Hungry Caterpillar puzzle that he absolutely loves. It’s definitely a challenge but he will figure it out with some practice. Noah’s new puzzle was $3.99.

I also got a huge soft blanket. I like to have a blanket when I sit on the couch and Noah will take his blanket away from me when I use it. I love my new blanket. It is so pretty and definitely one that I can snuggle up in and be fully covered vs. a little blanket that barely covers me. What a cozy thing to buy myself! My blanket was $12.99! This is a deluxe blanket. I totally got a great deal.

I bought some Dearform Slippers too. If you guys haven’t figured out I am all about comfort when I am at home. I really needed new slippers the soles were really worn out. The bottoms were full of holes. My new slippers were $6.99. My last pair of slippers was $12.00 on clearance at another store. That is almost half price!

I love garlic so I got some Garlic infused oil. It is gourmet oil and you can see the chunks of garlic in it. It seems like the gourmet foods section has more options this time. It might be because it’s getting close to Thanksgiving and Christmas. The shelves were over flowing with interesting products most of them brand names that I have heard of. My delicious garlic infused oil was $3.99

Not sure exactly why I bought Funnel Cake Mix. I love funnel cakes and I bought a funnel a while back. I used to have a “funnel cake maker” but instead of buying another I decided to just do it myself. I haven’t had time to look up a recipe so I figured the mix was the best way to go. I can’t wait to make some delicious fresh funnel cakes. Noah really likes them too. The funnel cake mix was $2.99.

I got a set of small paring knives. They are really cool. They come with little covers and one of them is a Santoku knife, which is my favorite kind of knife. They are the ones with the circles or oval indentations in the blade. I love to cook and chop up garlic and onions so good knives are a must for me. I scored my set of 2 knives for $6.99

I picked up some panty hose too for those formal occasions. I don’t really have much to say about those. They were $4.99 which is a good price in my opinion.

Ever heard of Reindeer Corn? It is holiday gourmet candy corn. I used to get little packs of it at another store around Christmas. When I saw it I was so excited because it has been a while since I have had any. My TJ Maxx has lots of cool Christmas things everything from decorations to DVD's to specialty holiday foods like Panettone Cake. My Reindeer Corn was $3.99. A little bag would cost 99 cents at that other store and this bag is large so what a great deal.

So for less than FIFTY dollars, I got a puzzle, a huge blanket, a set of knives, panty hose, slippers, garlic oil, funnel cake mix, and Reindeer corn all at TJ Maxx. If my first shopping trip didn’t get you to go to your nearest TJ Maxx then maybe this one will. Just think of the bargains you could get!

Thank You to TJ Maxx for the opportunity to participate in this wonderful campaign.
