I Need New Speakers ASAP!

As a blogger, I spend a lot of time on my laptop to work. I also love to listen to music to help motivate me.  I love all kinds of music so what I will be in the mood for will be a huge variety. When I am listening to music on my computer there is a drawback.  I can’t really hear it very well.  I always have to wear headphones.  Headphones are great when you don’t want to disturb other people but sometimes I would like to just listen to music without something stuck in or on my ears.  I like to lay down and listen to music to relax and that doesn’t work well when you have to make sure you aren’t going to lay on your head phones.  I would love to get speakers to plug in to my laptop. I am not sure why laptop speakers have gone down in quality over the years. I also like to sometimes watch Netflix in bed but it is always hard to hear the movie.  I would love to have wireless speakers around my house so it gives more of a surround sound effect.  I think you miss some things while watching a movie at home than you do in a theater because you can pick up on those little sounds that may be very important to the plot line.

I also love hanging out by the pool or outside with friends. It is fun to have music playing in the background, but unless you have wireless outdoor speakers it is pretty much pointless because you will have to strain to hear the music.  Forget trying to dance because you can’t hear the beat.  I have a friend who talks to her plants every day to help them grow. I think if I had a garden it would be really cool to play classical music through some garden speakers to see if it makes a difference. That would be a really cool science experiment to do with Noah.  We could see which types of music they prefer.  I think that would be so much fun.

What is a dingaderry or dingadairy?

Everyone has heard the song If I only had a brain from The Wizard of OZ. You could probably belt it out with  The Scarecrow himself. So while I sit outside listening to Pandora If I only had a brain came on. I asked on Twitter what a dingadairy is. I decided to Google it. They said it was a made up word. I was listening to the song while Googling and i knew that The Scarecrow wasn't smart since he has no brain. I figured out the question through the ages. Millions have pondered what a dingadairy is.  He said it wrong because he is uneducated. It's a dignitary. A dignitary is an important person who holds rank or office. Yeah I am a genius.

A Pleasant Award - ScS

Being a stay-at-home mom, when I’m not doing my motherly duties I’m blogging. Even though I’m nestled here in Florida when surfing the internet, I read the most heart-warming story and had to share it with you. Children are very inquisitive, and being a mother myself I think it’s really important to encourage that. When Noah askes me questions or wants to do something new, I always try to do my best so he can gain experience and understand.

That’s why I think it was fantastic for ScS, a leading sofa company, to award 10-year-old Amelia Howarth with a day behind the scenes watching how they make their TV ads. This little girl wrote to the head office about how much she loved the ScS adverts and how she’d act them out in front of her friends and family, so cute. From all the emails they must have received, I think it’s fantastic that the marketing manager, Lindsey Duncton, recognised this young girl’s enthusiasm, and said: “We were delighted to read Amelia’s e-mail and to hear how much she loved our ads.”

Amelia, her brother William and their mom Emma, went to their nearest branch in Portrack Lane, Stockton, where they not only got to see behind the scenes, but Amelia even met the star of the ads, Victoria. I think this is a great way to encourage young children to get involved and be more creative.
The little girl was ecstatic!  She said: “I was really excited to visit the ScS store and meet Victoria from the ads. The whole day was really fantastic and I enjoyed meeting the nice people from ScS. I have shown all my friends the signed script I was given by Victoria and told them all about it. It really is the best day of my holidays and I can’t wait to see the new ads on the TV.”

Emma Howarth, Amelia’s mom, added: “I’m very thankful to ScS, they really did make my 10-year-old daughter’s day.” Her mom must have been so proud of her, I know I would be of Noah.
