One of the things on my bucket list is going on a cross-country road trip and visiting all the 48 states in one summer. We would have to take our cats though. I am not sure how well that would go over. Maybe we could get someone to take care of them. They don't really like riding in the car. I would love to go to all the states with Noah that we can drive to. Thankfully, Noah is great in the car. He gets car sick rarely anymore. We would definitely have to spend some time planning such a huge trip. We would also like to spend time in each state. I wouldn't want to just drive through each state. I want to visit somewhere interesting. I would like to experience each state fully. It would be a grand adventure. We would have a lot of fun learning about each place. I would like to visit some of the obscure places like the really touristy places. Another perk of doing a cross country road trip is, if you are in the market for a new car, you can search different dealerships. You aren't limited to what is in your area. You could buy a car at Car City West near Indiola Iowa with ease. It opens up a whole new world of car buying.
I am not sure how realistic it would be to do it all in one summer. I think we would be so tired of traveling in the car at the end that it wouldn't be that enjoyable. I think we should start small and visit maybe 5 states a summer, and make it a long-term goal. It would be fun to buy a map and mark each state we visit. We have already been to quite a few states. There's really only like ten states I have been to that Noah hasn't been to yet. I haven't been to all of them yet, but I am working on it. This past summer we went to New Mexico, which was a new state for both of us. I really love New Mexico. We stayed at an amazing resort and there was a casino that I visited a couple times. It was also great to see our family. The scenery is gorgeous too. We drove so, we went through some interesting states too. There were lots of cows in Kansas. I look forward to planning more adventures in the car with Noah. I am glad he loves traveling as much as I do.
