Timeless on NBC

I love history. I am kind of a history nerd. It was one of my favorite subjects in school. I love to watch history shows, documentaries, and fantasy shows about history. Noah also loves history. We have had some interesting kind of grown up conversations about The Emancipation Proclamation and World War 2 among other historical events. He asks so grown up questions. On certain subjects he knows more than I do.

I started watching a show called Timeless. It's on NBC on Monday nights at 10 pm. Not only is it about history but it's also about time travel.  There are three people who are the main characters. Lucy is played by Abigail Spencer who is a history professor.  Malcolm Barrett is a programmer and Matt Lanter who is soldier. They go back in time to stop a guy who is trying to change history. If one thing changes, it can have a huge impact on history. Could you even imagine? You will see in the show what happens when history changes. I love that Lucy is the heroine of the show. She's not someone's sidekick or love interest or girlfriend. She is a strong woman, I think that is something little girls and young women need.

About the show:

From Eric Kripke ("Revolution," "Supernatural"), Shawn Ryan ("The Shield") and the producers of "The Blacklist" comes this thrilling action-adventure series in which a mysterious criminal steals a secret state-of-the-art time machine, intent on destroying America as we know it by changing the past. Our only hope is an unexpected team: a scientist, a soldier and a history professor who use the machine's prototype to travel back in time to critical events. While they must make every effort not to affect the past themselves, they must also stay one step ahead of this dangerous fugitive. Can this handpicked team uncover the mystery behind it all and end his destruction before it's too late?
The cast includes Abigail Spencer, Matt Lanter, Malcolm Barrett, Goran Visnjic, Paterson Joseph, Sakina Jaffrey and Claudia Doumit.

Eric Kripke and Shawn Ryan serve as writers and executive producers. John Davis, John Fox, Marney Hochman and Director Neil Marshall also executive produce. "Timeless" is produced by Davis Entertainment, Kripke Enterprises and MiddKid Productions in association with Sony Pictures Television.

I really loved the first episode. They went back to the Hindenburg. I for some reason thought that it happened in Germany. Noah knew better, that it happened in New Jersey. He likes to read the I Survived series. He learns about history from the books.  I am very excited for tonight's episode. They are going back to the night Abraham Lincoln was shot. It's a fun show. I also told my mom to check it out.

I had the chance to interview Abigail Spencer. She's really nice and funny. One of my  questions was what time would you like to visit and she said.... Besides the Garden of Eden and telling Eve not to eat the apple. That she is super in to the 40's from a fashion standpoint.  She loves old Hollywood and old movies.

She also shared some more information with us about the show. Some of the different time periods they are going to visit. I don't want to ruin the surprise for you. She talked a lot about fashion and how she hated wearing a corset. I don't blame her. I would have hated that.

I started thinking about what time period I would want to visit. That's a hard question.  I have always liked the 50's. My mom made me a poodle skirt when I was like ten. It was my Halloween costume but I wore it two years in a row. I really wore it all the time. It was made out of felt so it was hot. I still wore it in the summer. As far as an event, I am not too sure because it would be hard not to want to save people. You can't change a single second of history. I am really interested in JFK. I am also interested in Abraham Lincoln and the Mafia. I love learning about the past. It's so interesting.

Noah has asked me if he can watch it. I don't think he is quite old enough yet. I did tell him that he can watch it when he gets a bit older. I can see him liking it in a few years.  I hope that Timeless is around for many years to come. I am really looking forward to seeing where they all go. The catch is they can never visit the same time twice. If they go where they exist it would have dire consequences.

Be sure to watch Timeless on NBC on Mondays at 10 pm.
