My Travel Bucket List

I want to create a travel bucket list because traveling is one of my greatest passions. There are so many places I want to visit. I thought it would be fun to share it and have a place where it won't get lost or deleted.

A spa somewhere

Scotland

I would also love to go to all 50 states just because it would be fun.

I Dream of Home Ownership

I have the dream of someday owning a home. I would love to have a place to call my own where I don’t have to worry about a landlord or anyone coming in to do filter changes and smoke alarm checks. I would also like to not have people right on top of me all the time as I do in my apartment. I like my neighbors for the most part, but I feel that I can’t have my windows open without neighbors or a child talking to us through the windows.  I feel like I constantly have to speak to people even when I am trying to watch TV or Noah and I are doing his homework. It is really a distraction to him because he doesn’t want to be rude.  Sometimes he gets upset because the neighbor boy can be very mean to Noah.  I would love to have my own house where I can just veg out and be in peace.

  

It is after all The American Dream to own your own home. I feel as though I am throwing away my money each month because I have nothing to show at the end of the time here.  I also know that owning a home is great for your credit.  It also gives you something to hold on to.  I would love to find my dream house and just live there for forever. I would love to not have to move anymore. I hate moving, I would have to find the perfect house for my family and the perfect location.  I would definitely need to get a mortgage to achieve home ownership.  I have seen houses that need some work; I wouldn’t be opposed to owning a house that needs work if I could get a 203k Loan and a great handy man. I would get really frustrated trying to fix it up myself.  It would probably be quite comical actually, but would not end well at all.  Another option I could consider is a bank owned home. People sometimes live over their means and have really nice homes and it becomes property of the bank.  I think that’s called homepath. They even give you money to fix it up if you need to. Either way I would need a handy man.  I would definitely want a two story home with at least 3 bedrooms, a nice big kitchen, and a big deck.  I would want it to be in a nice area or neighborhood.  I would definitely have a hot tub and a grill on my deck that overlooks a good sized yard.

Dream, Dream, Dream.

I am sure I have told you about my weird dreams before. Definitely about Kevin, the alien that when he gets mad turns in to a queen. For a while now, I have been dreaming about one of my old houses. The dreams I had started out riding my old school bus, from elementary school. I would be on the bus in my old neighborhood and I would get off the bus at my old house and by the time I got off, I’d realize that I don’t live there, and I would start chasing the bus, Mrs. Macy would never stop. I would then somehow try and figure out how to get where I really lived, I never quite knew where that was. Sometimes I would visit my old neighbors. Other times I lived in the house, my mom would open the garage door and I would go inside. It was really weird and had become a reoccurring dream for a while. Then the dreams stopped for a while. It wasn’t like a nightly thing, but it was enough that I would remember it happening quite a bit.

Now, I dream about living in that house like every other week or so. It’s normally that I moved back in. It would look different inside almost every time, never like I remembered it. It never has the basement where I used to sing and dance or the place under the stairs I would have my club house in. It is weird. I know it’s normal to dream about things in the past. I have definitely had weirder dreams, but it is crazy that it is the same theme and almost the same dream or variation of it. I am an adult and Noah is with me. Every time I dream it, I think well now I don’t have to dream about living here anymore. I had the dream very recently, and once I said that, I woke up. I had one of those abrupt where am I wake ups. I woke up in my house. I don’t think I have ever had a dream that I dreamed about waking up like a dream inside a dream. Maybe I have, I don’t really know.

I don’t know if it has to do with something going on in my mind or what that is making me dream about that particular house. I don’t talk to my old neighbors or anything. I don’t spend a lot of time thinking about that house. Dreams are such a weird and complex thing. I am not sure what causes some of them. I had a dream about my Grandma Rose where I was at her house and she let in an escaped mental patient and he came after us. I think it would be really cool to watch our dreams. I am pretty good about remembering my dreams. I would love to see the ones I don’t remember though.

I Wish These Shows and Movies Were on DVD

There are quite a few great things that should be on DVD but aren’t. Most of them are from my childhood that I want my son to be able to watch and now that I don’t have a VCR after my DVR-VHS combo broke I am constantly looking for these shows and movies on DVD. Here is my list. Let me know if there is something you would like to see on DVD. Maybe someone will see my list and do something. A girl can dream can’t she? The list is no particular order.

Please put all of these on DVD. I want to be able to share some of these with my son. Some of them are things I loved growing up and love today.
